PUMPKIN SOUP

Pumpkin Soup
Ingredients:
1 lb. pumpkin (peeled & cut into pieces)
2 onions (sliced)
1 tbsp. butter
1 sprig of thyme
½ cup split peas (soaked prior to cooking)
2 cabbage leaves (cut finely)
½ lb. beef (cut into pieces)
water to cover

Instructions: 

Lightly fry onions in butter. Add pumpkin and the rest of ingredients. Cover with water and simmer for about 1 hour. Serve hot.
